Shipping Pet Supplies from Mainland China to Taiwan
Complete Guide to Shippable Items & Customs Prohibited Items
Pet owners, cross-border shoppers and small shop sellers who buy pet supplies on Taobao and 1688 all face the same question: which pet supplies can be shipped to Taiwan via consolidation shipping, and which ones will be detained and returned by customs?
These items are not subject to quarantine control. As long as they are well packaged and contain no prohibited goods, they can pass customs clearance normally through consolidation shipping:
Cat litter, litter boxes, pet toilets, pet combs, nail clippers, pet water fountains and feeding bowls.
Pet beds, cat trees, pet fences, pet mats and pet storage boxes.
Cat teasers, rubber toys, plush toys, treat puzzle balls and other non-food toys.
Pet clothes, leashes, harnesses, collars and pet backpacks.
Pet wipes (without animal-derived ingredients or medication), pet waste bags and deodorizing sprays.
Dog crates, airline kennels and acrylic cat enclosures.
Key point: Taiwan's Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine regulates animal-derived products. The items below cannot be shipped — if found, they will be confiscated/destroyed or returned.
Jerky, meat strips, freeze-dried meat, cooked meat treats and canned food (including meat-based cans).
Kibble and wet food containing meat meal or animal by-products, raw meaty bones and fresh meal packs.
Animal bones, hides and feather products (without proper quarantine inspection).
Probiotics containing live bacteria, unapproved pet medications and deworming drugs.
Homemade pet meals and bulk, privately made pet food.
Register an Account & Place Your Order
Shop for pet supplies on Taobao or 1688, enter the Taojiyun mainland warehouse address as your shipping address, and fill in the consolidation waybill number after placing your order.
Sellers ship to the consolidation warehouse, which signs for and registers each package. You can see every item in your account dashboard.
Once all packages arrive, submit a consolidation request. For large pet supplies such as cat trees and cages, you can choose wooden-crate reinforcement to reduce the risk of damage during shipping.
Fill in the recipient's information and declare your items; the consolidation warehouse handles customs declaration for you.
Cargo is shipped to Taiwan and inspected by Taiwan Customs;
After customs clearance, local couriers deliver to your door — just wait to receive your package.

*Using Pinduoduo as an example
Step 3
Packages arrive at the warehouse; track status in real time
After the seller ships, the tracking number syncs to the app automatically;
Within 1–2 days of the warehouse signing for it, the package is scanned into storage;
In the app you can check package count, weight, volume and arrival time.
Step 4
One-tap consolidation & packing to optimize volume.
Once all packages arrive, select the ones to consolidate in the app and submit the consolidation request. Staff will consolidate for free, remove redundant packaging and reinforce the packing to reduce volumetric weight.

Enter your Taiwan delivery address
Pay the shipping fee and wait for delivery in Taiwan
A: We don't recommend shipping them together. Cat litter is a shippable daily-use item, while most pet food contains animal-derived ingredients and is banned by Taiwan quarantine.
Mixed shipments can cause the whole parcel to be inspected and detained by customs, so order them separately and never consolidate them into the same parcel.
A: Pet medications and deworming products are regulated goods that require Taiwan-approved permits. They generally cannot clear customs through personal consolidation shipping, so we don't recommend sending them to avoid confiscation.
A: Consolidation shipping is billed based on the greater of volumetric weight or actual weight. For large items like cat trees and cages, you can choose the wooden-crate reinforcement service — note that the crate adds volume, so it's a good idea to check with customer service for the volumetric weight quote before ordering and plan your budget.
